SERIE AS, 2 m Tape Retractable with ABS, 140 Kg and Factor 2
· Retractable fall arrest device for personal protection against falls from height.
· Maximum device length: 2 m.
· Approved for one user, including tools and equipment, up to 140 kg.
· Compatible with connectors compliant with EN362:2004 standard.
· Compatible with anchorage devices compliant with
EN 795:2012 standard.
· Minimum required anchorage point strength: 12 kN.
Key differentiator: 2 m retractable with ABS and EN362/EN795 compatibility, suitable for factor 2 fall scenarios.
The AS SERIES offers high-level safety in a compact format: its 2 m retractable tape with ABS provides a rapid and controlled technical response, even in demanding factor 2 fall scenarios. Designed for a user with tools up to 140 kg, it combines certified Technology and Quality, integrating with EN362 connectors and anchorage points compliant with EN795.
Its ergonomics favour fluid movements and less fatigue during the workday, while the compatibility and minimum anchorage strength of 12 kN ensure reliable installation in industrial, construction and maintenance environments. The retractable mechanism reduces pull, minimises pendulum and boosts productivity without compromising safety.
Usage suggestions: select a certified EN795 anchorage point with =12 kN resistance; verify that the connectors comply with EN362; keep the line free of unprotected sharp edges; carry out prior inspections and periodic training. For work at foot level (factor 2), evaluate the clearance and rescue plan before operating.
Your height, under control.
Use cases:
- Maintenance work on metallic structures and walkways with EN795 compliant anchorage and EN362 connectors.
- Operations on roof edges or foot-level anchorage (factor 2), verifying clearance and resistance =12 kN.
- Interventions on elevated platforms, telecom towers and scaffolding, where 2 m mobility and retraction is required.

Is the inspection of fall-arrest PPE mandatory?
All fall-arrest equipment must undergo a mandatory annual inspection starting from the date of its first use, in accordance with the UNE EN 365:2005 standard. This inspection ensures that the equipment maintains its safety conditions. The user must record the date of first use in the corresponding inspection sheet.
Inspection frequency: Once per year.
Who is authorized to inspect the equipment?
Inspections of Safetop fall-arrest equipment can only be carried out by Safetop or by a Safetop-authorized person.
- Safetop-certified distributors
Only distributors trained and certified by Safetop are authorized to perform inspections of our PPE. This specialized training enables them to identify defects, monitor material condition, and issue valid inspection reports. - Safetop inspection technical service
We offer our own technical inspection service for fall-arrest equipment, exclusively for distributors. End users should not send equipment directly; instead, they must manage it through their supply partner. - Safetop-authorized personnel
Safetop provides technical inspection courses for suppliers, enabling them to become authorized inspection centers.
